What is old media?

The definition from Wikipedia is "The old media or legacy media are traditional means of communication and expression that have existed since before the advent of the new medium of the Internet. Industries that are generally considered part of the old media are broadcast and cable television, movie and music studios, newspapers, books and most print publications. Many of those industries are now less profitable than they used to be and this is has been attributed to the growth of the new media"

Introduction

For the master GEB, we have course Competitive Intelligence with Mr. Jean-Paul PINTE, and the main purpose of this course is to help us how to search for, collect, select and follow up with information. During this course, Mr. PINTE gives us a lot of useful advice and propositions related to this field. With his help, we have decided to choose the subject of old media in the world which both of us are very interested in. Our aims are not only to search for information related to our subjects, but also to make practice of different tools that the teacher tell us to obtain and select the most pertinent information through various channels such as internet, books, press, media and so on and to update it. At the same time, we hope that with the knowledge of competitive intelligence, we could also have a field to discuss about the future of old media. We work in a team of two persons, Wei Song and Xiujuan LU. Both of us take charge of information collection, selection, and edition during the construction of this new blog.
